Even in this time of differing health measures, our partners have moved forward in releasing exciting updates and new apps. We are so happy to be part of a new way of communicating with your audiences, and are always happy to see everyone’s hard work be launched into the world. Within the last few months, we have seen some exciting new releases. Read more about them below:
Glenbrook Center Website
Last year, we launched the app for Glenbrook Center, a large shop/dine/eat/live location near Nashville. The Center used the app to provide a source of information for visitors to the location, as well as a way to share info on rental spaces available. Upon release of Grandstand Sites, they decided to add a website to the mix taking advantage of the map, list of stores, businesses, and restaurants, and more.
Wholesale Beer Distributors of Arkansas Website
The WBDA has been an app customer for some time. When we released Grandstand Sites, they took advantage of the ability to access the lists, custom pages, and more that are in the app. The app and website are used as an important resource for wholesale distributors in the state to keep on the most recent laws and regulations.
Nebraska 4-H State Fair Results Website
One of Grandstand’s first clients, and the inspiration for creating our own content management system for apps, Nebraska 4-H held an abbreviated state fair in August. Part of their app from the beginning was a powerful search engine for award winners. Grandstand has long served that need with the results module, and the release of Grandstand Sites made this module event better. Now the website that has long been used for results is more visually attractive and more functional with additions of a schedule, map, and more.
ChristmasVille in Rock Hill App
ChristmasVille is a month-long celebration of the winter holiday season that features the art and whimsical world of Vernon Grant, children’s illustrator and artist of the famed Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Snap! Crackle! Pop! This year’s event made some adjustments to the event to ensure health and safety. The half-virtual, half-in-person event uses the app to share event dates and info, vote for contest winners, a scavenger hunt, virtual tours of downtown businesses, and an online gift market.
Orange Park Fall Festival App
Orange Park, Florida, has held their Fall Festival since 1982 and this year was no different. They made the decision to move forward with their event complete with entertainment, food vendors, kids zone and more. Extending the weekend of Oct. 17-18, the event app provided all the info their attendees might need.
Alabama National Fair App
Alabama National Fair carried on their traditions Oct. 9-18. Their app provided much needed information not just on the events, locations, and variety of entertainment, but also on their plans for addressing COVID-19. The fairgrounds was capped at 30% occupancy, masks were required and temperatures taken. A page in the app addressed all adjustments made to make the event successful.
Delaware, Defiance & Paulding County 4-H
The activities of 4-H participants were different this year, but we were happy to release the apps for 3 additional Ohio County Programs this year in Delaware 4-H and Defiance 4-H in the 4H Now app and Paulding County Extension as a stand-alone app. These apps all share some common elements as they share information on membership in 4-H, events, and project inspiration. In addition, Paulding County uses their app to share 4-H information, as well as general information for their Extension programs that include Master Gardener, Natural Resources, SNAP program and more. A resource that can truly impact the whole county.
